Sustainability physicist Lisa Dyson coming to UHCL lecture series

Physicist Lisa Dyson will bring her vision of a sustainable future to University of Houston-Clear Lake’s public Physics Lecture Series on April 22. Her lecture, “NASA-Inspired Solutions to Climate Change (and Feeding 10B by 2050),” was the theme of a TED talk she presented in 2016 on how an idea developed in the 1960s could be the key to reinventing how we grow food and for creating a replenishable energy supply.

Student publication takes seven national and 10 state awards

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s student-run digital publication The Signal won a total of 17 awards for work produced during the 2018 scholastic year, including seven national awards from Columbia Scholastic Press Association and 10 state awards from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.
